Overview:

Jindaiji is an an ancient Buddhist temple in Chofu City, in the west of Tokyo

It is the second oldest in the metropolis, after Sensoji Temple in Asakusa. 

 

Jindaiji is worth visiting not only for its historical significance, but for its specialty, soba (buckwheat noodles) restaurants and other shops including Kitaro Jaya (teahouse) , featuring the famous anime character, "GeGeGe no

Kitaro" leading up to the main gate,

 

In this tour, we also visit the temple's proximity, the year-round beautiful Jindai Botanical Gardens.

 

 

2. Fuchu Walking Tour

Overview:

Fuchu City, adjacent to Chofu City, is surrounded by the abundant nature.

It is also known for its many remaining historical areas.

 

The first stop of the tour is Okunitama-jinja Shrine,

one of Tokyo’s oldest and most dignified shrines, with a history of 1,900 years.

 

Then we will walk down to  Kyodo no Mori Museum.

This open-air museum park has spacious grounds with wildflowers blooming throughout the year and historical buildings.

You can learn about the city’s local culture, history, and nature.

You can also enjoy Japanese tea and sweets if you wish. 

3. Mt. Takao Walking Tour

Overview:

Mt. Takao is one of the closest natural recreation areas from central Tokyo, offering beautiful scenery, historical Yakuoin Temple and attractive hiking trails. 

 

Among the numbered hiking trails that lead up to the top of Mt. Takao, we will use a Cable Car halfway to the summit, and walk a part of the trail number 1, which is mostly paved and used by the majority of visitors, and which also passes all of the major sites on the way to the summit, 599 meters high.

The summit offers views of Mount Fuji on clear days.

 

 

 

 

4. Tsukiji-Asakusa Tour

Our first stop is Tsukiji Honganji, which is a Buddhist temple with an Indian look unlike any other.

 

Then walk and eat at Tsukiji Outer Market and then proceed to Hamarikyu (Japanese style gardens), where you can experience Japanese tea and sweets if you wish. 

 

Enjoy Tokyo River Cruise from Hamarikyu to Asakusa.

Asakusa is one of the most popular destinations among the visitors from overseas, where an atmosphere of the Tokyo of past decades survives.

Its main attraction is Sensoji, the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo, built in the 7th century.
